Sono Motors and Bosch have agreed to cooperate on a joint Europe-wide network of car repair shops. Bosch says owners of the Sion solar electric vehicle will be able to use all services offered by participating car repair shops, including repair, servicing, maintenance, and warranty services.

The companies say 50 qualified service centers will be trained in the launch phase, distributed throughout Germany in such a way as to cover both major cities and rural areas. It will also add additional qualified service centers in the subsequent rollout to create a comprehensive network available in many European countries.

Bosch says staff at partnered workshops will receive comprehensive training from Sono after which it will authorize them to perform repairs on high-voltage, photovoltaic, and safety systems with the assistance of, if necessary, Sono technical field service. Because of this, only authorized workshops can perform any repair, warranty and proactive services, the companies say. Bosch will mark these shops with a “Sono Motors Service Partner” sign. Sono says it plans to provide a workshop finder on its website.
