According to a recent report by Automotive News Europe, the Tesla Model Y became the best-selling car in Europe in November – among all cars, not just EVs. The report states Tesla sold 19,144 units of the Model Y, a gain of more than 260% on the same month last year.
The Model Y was also the continent’s overall top seller in September, but dipped in October due to a lack of available inventory. However, Tesla plans to side-step this issue in the future thanks to a ramp-up in Model Y production at its Berlin Gigafactory.
Automotive News Europe also reports that the Dacia Sandero was Europe’s No. 2 best-selling car in November, and the Toyota Yaris was No. 3.
