Canoo announced it’s growing its team across Oklahoma to scale manufacturing and meet customer deliveries of 18,000 committed orders representing $750 million in revenue over multiple years. Canoo said it created over 100 new jobs in the state of Oklahoma and the state is now home to 20% of Canoo’s total workforce. This announcement follows Canoo’s recent acquisition of manufacturing assets to increase its vehicle assembly capacity.
Oklahomans make up over 90% of the Canoo team in Oklahoma, and military veterans and Native Americans each makeup about 10% of Canoo’s workforce in the state. Canoo said its Oklahoma City manufacturing workforce is earning annual wages about 37% above the local average for similar roles in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
