Renault has introduced its Renault 5 Turbo 3E electric car, drawing inspiration from the Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 models of the 1980s. This new model revives classic rally design while incorporating electric performance, Renault said.
Renault said it designed the 5 Turbo 3E with sportiness and agility in mind. The custom-built platform uses a rear-wheel-drive layout. Renault kept the weight low, just 1,450 kilograms (approx. 3,000 lbs.) with the 70 kWh battery, to boost agility and speed.
