Schumacher Electric launched the SEV1670 12-Amp Level 1 portable EV charger, delivering up to 12 amps of power using a standard household outlet. The SEV1670 features a universal J1772 connector, which allows compatibility with most electric vehicles in the U.S. Schumacher will begin offering the product online and through select retailers in May.

The charger includes built-in protections against leakage, under-voltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating, ground faults, and relay faults. These features safeguard both the charger and the vehicle. Schumacher designed the SEV1670 to serve as an all-in-one solution for EV charging needs.
