Continental’s ultra high-performance tire, the SportContact 7, has earned original equipment approval for the Polestar 3 electric SUV.

Continental said it designed the tire for high-performance vehicles, whether electric or ICE. Compared to its predecessor, Continental said the tire reduces braking distances by 8% on wet roads and by 6% on dry surfaces. Mileage also increases by 17%, the manufacturer said.

For the Polestar 3, Continental’s SportContact supports speeds up to 167 mph. It carries an XL marking for more load capacity and features ContiSilent technology for quieter cabin acoustics.

Approved SportContact 7 Tire Sizes for Polestar 3

Polestar 3 owners can choose from the following sizes:

• 265/45 R21 108W XL FR ContiSilent;
• 295/40 R21 111W XL FR.
