At this year’s ACT Expo, Evolectric unveiled its Gen3 CircularEV Kit. The company said the Gen3 Kit makes electric work truck conversion practical for the utility bodies, street sweepers, and specialty fleets.
“Fleets need solutions that fit the way they already work — not force them to start over,” said Jakson Alvarez, Co-Founder of Evolectric. “The Gen3 Kit lets operators electrify faster, extend the life of their trusted trucks by over 10 years through our CircularEV platform, and keep their existing customizations intact.”
Gen3 Kit Expands Compatibility and Energy Density
The Gen3 Kit now supports the Class 3 Isuzu NPR platform, in addition to Class 4 (NPR-HD) and Class 5 (NQR, NRR) models. Evolectric added support for the 132.5-inch wheelbase. This allows fleets to electrify 12-foot compact bodies for utility trucks, box trucks, flatbeds, and sweepers.
New CATL battery technology enables up to 150 miles of range. The upgraded cells deliver 175 Wh/kg and 270 Wh/L energy density. With Evolectric’s in-frame battery packaging, fleets retain full rail space, preserve custom bodies, and maximize payload. Fleets can recharge in under an hour with fast DC charging.
Lower Costs, Greater Value for Electric Work Truck Conversion
Fleets may save up to $103,500 per vehicle through California HVIP and ISEF incentives. In addition, the Gen3 Kit reduces upfront costs by up to 45% compared to new EV trucks. Operators also report up to 75% lower operating costs versus diesel, accelerating ROI on their electric work truck conversion.
Evolectric’s Gen3 Kit also supports advanced fleet capabilities:
- Optional ADAS, safety cameras, and radar;
- Integrated ePTO and eTRU solutions;
- Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) readiness.
“Our Gen3 Kit represents the culmination of years of engineering focused on real-world fleet needs,” said Bill Beverley, Co-Founder of Evolectric. “We’re redefining what’s possible in commercial electrification.”
Certified Installers Bring Fleet Conversion to the Field
To support rapid adoption, Evolectric said it is building a certified installer network. Partners can complete conversions in under two weeks today, with a goal of two-day installations. The company encourages fleet service providers and maintenance shops to join the network and deliver electrification directly where fleets operate.
