LAYANA Company, an IATF 16949-certified provider for bi-material manufacturing, reported a major increase in overseas shipments of electric vehicle (EV) and power electronics parts. This growth highlights the company’s expanding role in EV component manufacturing for mobility and green energy sectors, it said.
2024 Year-Over-Year Results
- EV components: LAYANA increased shipments by 34% to 7,323,028 units in 2024, up from 5,464,947 in 2023.
- Power electronics components: Shipments grew 21% to 1,585,709 units in 2024, up from 1,310,504 units in 2023.
EV Component Manufacturing
LAYANA said it uses overmolding and insert molding to boost strength, simplify assembly, and reduce costs. These techniques also reduce part weight—essential for EVs—and improve sealing and environmental resistance.
Engineering Advanced Solutions for EV Component Manufacturing
LAYANA said it delivers integrated plastic and metal solutions using advanced technologies like:
- Over-molded enclosures and housings with in-mold assemblies;
- High-complexity progressive die-stamped terminals;
- Micro-stamped and deep-drawn metal parts;
- Plastic injection parts for heavy-duty vehicles;
- High-performance baseplates with strict tolerances.
Sustainability and Global Expansion
LAYANA said it remains family-owned and committed to sustainable manufacturing. Its Taiwan facility earned Green Factory certification in 2022 for reducing carbon emissions and optimizing energy use.
The company opened a U.S. office in 2020 and a UK office in 2024 to support global service expansion.
