Following a successful pilot in Arizona, Legacy EV is launching its EV Innovators Club nationwide. This initiative brings EV education for schools to life by giving middle school educators a hands-on way to introduce electric vehicle (EV) technology in classrooms.
EV Innovators Club Program Details
Legacy EV said it designed the EV Innovators Club for students in grades 5–9. The program allows them to build and race electric go-karts while engaging in STEM and CTE-aligned learning. Legacy EV will include 100 schools in the initial national rollout, starting in June. Schools can also join a waitlist for future participation.
The EV Innovators Club offers lesson plans, teacher training, and a curriculum aligned with real-world EV industry standards. Legacy EV enables teachers—regardless of engineering experience—to explore EV education for schools and help students learn about sustainable energy and vehicle technology.
Program Benefits and Student Impact
Students build functional electric go-karts from scratch in a fully supported, project-based learning environment. Teachers receive comprehensive support with all-in-one lesson materials and training. The program connects students with future careers in EV and clean energy industries while helping them develop leadership, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
Former STEM teachers and Teach for America alumni at Legacy EV—including Co-Founder Mavrick Knoles and curriculum experts Tom Santilli and Baily Soto—designed the club for ease and engagement across diverse school environments.
Applications Now Open
Legacy EV will select 100 schools for the first rollout. Educators interested in EV education for schools can apply now or join the waitlist for future phases.
