Lucid Group debuted three European vehicles at the Geneva International Motor Show from Feb. 26-March 3, the SUV Gravity, the Air Sapphire and the rear-wheel-drive version of the Air Pure, which will be presented to the European market. The Californian EV company also revealed expanded service offerings and an updated portfolio of its Air lineup.
Lucid is present in four European markets: Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and Norway. In these countries, the brand has established six Lucid retail spaces, called Lucid Studios. Lucid plans to open another four studios in Germany in 2024: Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart. There, Lucid said even more customers can book test drives and access the manufacturer’s options. In addition, Lucid said it has plans to expand the European Lucid service network, both with permanent locations and mobile solutions.
Lucid added its Air Pure RWD has an energy consumption of just 13.0 kWh/100 km (approx. 62 miles) and a maximum output of up to 442 PS/pk/ch, the RWD can reach 100 km/h (approx. 62 MPH) in 4.7 seconds and has a range of up to 747 kilometers (approx 464 miles). The Air Pure RWD has a base price of 85,000 Euros (approx. $92,948).
According to Lucid, the Gravity accelerates to 100 km/h (approx. 62 mph) in less than 3.5 seconds, has a predicted WLTP range of over 700 kilometers (approx. 434 miles) and has a maximum output of more than 800 hp, which Lucis said is made possible by the latest version of its dual engine.
Lucid’s Air Sapphire features 1,251 hp and can reach 100 km/h (approx. 62 mph) in around two seconds, the company said. At the same time, it reaches a top speed of 330 km/h (approx. 205 mph). The expected WLTP range is over 700 kilometers (approx. 434 miles). Other features include four driving modes, carbon-ceramic brakes, a special aerodynamics package and a racetrack-tuned suspension. The starting price is 250,000 Euros (approx. $273,425).
Lucid has not only expanded the Air lineup but will also be offering customers new services in the future, it said. When purchasing a Lucid Air, a Wallbox Pulsar Max charging station (22 kW) is included for charging at home. In addition, a maintenance service is included for two years (or 24,854 miles).
