A Tesla Cybertruck recall has been issued for certain 2024-2025 models of the electric truck. Tesla said there’s a defect in the cant rail, a stainless-steel exterior trim panel. The panel can delaminate and detach from the vehicle while driving. The trim panel could then potentially hit other drivers or creating a road hazard, increasing the risk of the crash.
According to the recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V170000), this issue could affect 46,096 Cybertrucks.

Tesla service centers will replace the cant rail assembly at no cost to owners. The company will mail owner notification letters on May 19.
