Toyota is expanding its battery-electric lineup with the 2026 bZ Woodland SUV. This new midsize model offers standard All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE and delivers 375 combined system horsepower. It targets adventurous drivers with an estimated all-electric range of up to 260 miles.
Toyota bZ Woodland SUV Off-Road Performance
The manufacturer said that with 8.3 inches of ground clearance and a 3,500-pound towing capacity, Toyota designed the bZ Woodland SUV for rugged use. All-terrain tires are available, and standard roof rails support outdoor gear transport.
The SUV features front and rear eAxles and Toyota’s X-MODE system, which lets drivers choose terrain-specific settings. Grip-Control maintains steady speeds on rough roads. A low center of gravity from the battery placement supports stable handling on and off pavement.
Toyota bZ Woodland SUV Fast Charging
Equipped with a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, the bZ Woodland supports fast charging with a North American Charging System (NACS) port. It can charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
The SUV includes Plug & Charge functionality for seamless charging at compatible stations. It also supports Level One and Level Two AC charging and features an 11-kW onboard charger. Steering wheel paddles allow adjustable regenerative braking.
Toyota Safety Sense and Driver Support Features
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard. It includes Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Tracing Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Road Sign Assist.
The Panoramic View Monitor and Multi-Terrain Monitor aid visibility, while Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert help during lane changes and reversing. Safe Exit Alert warns if vehicles or cyclists approach when doors open.
Toyota’s Star Safety System adds stability and braking features, including Vehicle Stability Control, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology®.
Warranty Coverage and Service Support
The Toyota bZ Woodland SUV comes with a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. EV components are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles.
ToyotaCare includes factory-scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles and 24-hour roadside assistance for three years. Models are expected to arrive in early 2026.
