Toyota recently introduced the 2024 bZ4X, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) available in XLE and Limited grades. Its SUV package comes in a choice of front or all-wheel drive, has seating for up to five, rear cargo space and premium touches throughout, the manufacturer said.
A dual–voltage charging cable capable of Level 1 and Level 2 charging will be standard for both the XLE and Limited grades. The State of Charge percentage when charging, the estimated charge time to 80% and the estimated vehicle range will now be displayed via its fully digital multi-information display (MID). Toyota said charging times in cold weather conditions have been improved for DC fast charging as well and enhancements have been made to the battery thermal system, including the addition of a water-to-water heat exchanger and heating adjustment valve to increase battery temperature, allowing for that faster DC charging.
Toyota said customers who purchase or lease a new 2024 Toyota bZ4X will also get one year of complimentary charging at EVgo public charging stations nationwide. Customers will be able to use the Toyota App on their mobile device to sign up for this offer, locate EVgo stations and initiate complimentary charging for their new bZ4X.
The 2024 Toyota bZ4X will have a starting MSRP of $43,070 on the XLE grade and $47,180 on the Limited grade, excluding the dealer processing and handling fee. Models are expected to start arriving at U.S. Toyota dealerships in January.
