Rivian has approved the Autel IA900 system for ADAS calibration on its R1T, R1S, RCV, and EDV models. Certified Collision Centers and Certified Calibration Centers within Rivian’s global network can now use this system for camera and sensor calibration.
Comprehensive Testing Confirms Reliability
Rivian tested the Autel IA900 system extensively before granting OE approval, it said. This system supports the Rivian Driver+ suite. This integrates AI prediction, blind spot monitoring, and radar components to enhance vehicle safety.
“We are proud that yet another automaker has chosen Autel’s ADAS calibration technology for use in its certified service facilities,” said Chloe Hung, CEO of Autel. “The IA900 was designed to enable technicians to calibrate vehicle systems with the same ease and repeatable precision as it calibrates simpler systems.”
Rivian ADAS Calibration with Autel IA900
The Autel IA900 system, introduced in 2022, combines 4-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration in one unit. It features six high-resolution cameras, reducing setup time from 45 minutes to just one minute.
Rivian’s Certified Collision Network
Rivian’s approval applies to all Autel IA900 Calibration System Packages. That includes IA900WAT, IA900LDWT, and IA900AST, along with accompanying Rivian target packages.
Rivian Certified Collision Centers must meet strict training, tooling, and repair standards to ensure high-quality ADAS calibration, it said.
