Lucid Motors has promoted Emad Dlala to Senior Vice President of Powertrain. In this role, Dlala will oversee powertrain development, including drive units, power electronics, and battery technology. He will also lead Lucid’s efficiency and charging strategy. Previously, he served as Vice President of Powertrain.

“Since joining the company almost a decade ago, Emad has been instrumental in the development and advancement of Lucid’s powertrain technology,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid Motors. “This promotion reflects his exceptional leadership, dedication, and technical contributions.”

Since joining Lucid in 2015, Emad Dlala has led efforts to develop advanced powertrain technologies, Lucid said.

With over 20 years of engineering experience, Dlala previously worked as a Senior Application Engineer at ANSYS Inc. He specialized in engineering simulation technologies.

Emad Dlala holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University, Finland, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Al-Zawiya University, Libya.
