EVE Energy hosted its inaugural Commercial Vehicle Battery Tech Day and Open Source Battery Products Launch in Huizhou, China. The company introduced eight next-generation EVE Energy battery technology products designed for vans, trucks, buses, and construction machinery. A strategic partnership with Conch Venture was also announced to help drive a green, low-carbon future, EVE Energy said.
New EVE Energy Battery Technology Supports Speed, Range, and Longevity
“Amid rapid technological progress, EVE Energy is upgrading Open Source Battery for all commercial scenarios,” said Dr. James Jiang, Vice President of EVE Energy and President of EVE Battery System Research Institute. “We aim to contribute to the development of commercial transportation. This mission also reflects EVE Energy’s original intention to develop Open Source Battery.”
The EVE Energy battery technology lineup supports a wide range of uses, including urban logistics, regional and long-haul transport, passenger services, and heavy infrastructure projects.
Van and Light Truck Batteries
The LF125P 41.86-kWh battery for vans features 2C constant current direct charging, reaching 20% to 80% SOC in just 18 minutes. It uses a natural cooling thermal management system and offers an eight-year or 600,000-kilometer (approx. 370,000 miles) warranty.
For light trucks, the M254 160-kWh battery provides a 400-kilometer (approx. 250 miles) range with a mid-mounted single-pack design and 180 Wh/kg energy density. It maintains 85% efficiency at minus 20°C.
Heavy-Duty Units
EVE Energy introduced multiple high-capacity battery models for heavy trucks:
- LF230P 453-kWh: Supports ultra-fast 10% to 80% charging in 18 minutes;
- LF668 448-kWh: High integration with 668Ah capacity, under 1m height, and 0.5-ton weight savings;
- LF420 563-kWh: Delivers 145 Wh/kg specific energy;
- LM284 851-kWh: Offers 170 Wh/kg energy density and a 700-kilometer range.
Buses and Loaders
The LF324S 43.8-kWh battery for buses provides a 10-year or 1 million-kilometer (approx. 620,000 miles) lifespan, reaching 170 Wh/kg gravimetric and 268 Wh/L volumetric specific energy through three technology breakthroughs.
For construction equipment, the LF628 350-kWh loader battery enables a two-minute installation, 200 Wh/L energy integration, and 6,000 full cycles.
EVE Energy said the foundational technologies support the latest commercial battery products:
- LMX chemical system: Enables 800V platforms and 15% greater power retention;
- Minimalist design: Reduces parts by 50%, boosts system power 25%, and cuts resistance in half;
- 3D liquid cooling (Gen 3): Maintains system temp at 42°C with a 5°C differential, extending life by 20%;
- Rigorous safety standards: Exceeds national tests, withstanding 300-joule impacts and 3-meter drops;
- AI-based monitoring: Offers 7-day early fault warnings, 3% SOX accuracy, and 10% lower energy usage.
Industry Leaders Join the EVE Energy Battery Technology Launch Event
Exhibition areas at the event showcased collaborations with Huawei, Sany, Dongfeng Trucks, Foton, JAC, Farizon, and DFLZM. These displays demonstrated real-world applications of the new EVE Energy battery technology across a range of commercial EV platforms, the company said.
