Genesis will provide a complimentary North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter to current U.S. electric vehicle (EV) owners who purchased their vehicles on or before Jan. 31. Starting the week of April 7, Genesis will send redemption emails for the Genesis EV charging adapter. The adapter gives access to 20,000 additional NACS DC fast chargers in the U.S., nearly doubling the available network for GV60, Electrified GV70, and Electrified G80 owners.
Genesis will give one Genesis EV charging adapter per eligible vehicle at no cost. Owners must have an active MyGenesis Account and opt in to receive emails. Genesis said it authorized and designed this CCS-to-NACS adapter to ensure reliable charging at Tesla Superchargers. Owners must complete the redemption process within 60 days of receiving the invitation email.
“At Genesis, we pride ourselves on providing customers with the best possible ownership experience,” said Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer, Genesis Motor North America. “By offering complimentary NACS adapters, we will make charging even more convenient for our current EV owners. This reinforces our commitment to treating every customer as our ‘son-nim,’ or honored guest.”
